What’s the Difference – X-Ray, CT Scan & MRI ?

X-Ray, CT Scan & MRI

Doctors use various scanning Technologies (X-rays, CT scans and MRI’s) to see what is happening inside our bodies.
But !!!!!!

Do You know how X-rays, CT scans, and MRI’s differ ?

Let us discuss this a little bit:

 X-RAY :

  1. Oldest & most common tool
  2. Uses radiation to take quick pictures
  3. Best for bones (fractures, joints etc.)
  4. Fast & affordable in Price.

CT SCAN (Computed Tomography) :

  1. Also uses X-rays butCT-SCAN generates 3D images
  2.

Great for checking for internal injuries, cancer or organ damage

  3. More radiation than X-rays
  4. Faster than an MRI, more detailed than an X-ray

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) :

  1. Uses magnetic and radio waves, not radiation
  2. Excellent for looking at soft tissues like the brain, spinal cord, and muscles
  3. No radiation, but slow and expensive
  4. High clarity for complex diagnostics

If I explain in more simple words:

  • X-RAY → For bones
  • CT SCAN → 3D map of inner body
  • MRI → Clear & deep view of soft organs

Health Awareness saves our lives.
& I hope Next time your doctor recommends a scan you’ll know exactly why X-Ray, CT Scan & MRI ?
